Cancellation & Refund Policy

Tour Adviser – Tour & Travel Services

At Tour Adviser, we understand that travel plans may change. This Cancellation & Refund Policy outlines the terms under which cancellations, amendments, and refunds are handled. By booking any service with us, you agree to the following policy.

1. Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Charges (Per Booking)

  • More than 21 days prior to arrival

    ✔ No cancellation charges (No retention)

  • 15 to 21 days prior to arrival

    ❌ 50% of the first night stay will be charged

  • 07 to 15 days prior to arrival

    ❌ 100% of the first night stay will be charged

  • Less than 07 days prior to arrival or No-Show

    ❌ 100% of the total tour cost will be charged as cancellation

2. Non-Refundable Services

The following services are strictly non-refundable, once confirmed or utilized:

  • Restricted / Protected area permits including:

    • Tsomgo Lake

    • Baba Mandir

    • Nathula Pass

    • Lachen & Lachung (North Sikkim)

  • Sightseeing missed due to:

    • Bad weather

    • Landslides

    • Roadblocks

    • Snowfall

    • Political disturbances

    • VIP or Army movement

  • Unutilized services such as:

    • Hotel accommodation

    • Meals

    • Sightseeing

    • Transportation (surface or air)

    • Entrance fees

    • Optional activities

Once permits are issued by the Department of Tourism, Gangtok, no refund will be applicable under any circumstances.

3. Amendment Policy

  • Amendments to bookings (date change, hotel change, itinerary modification) are subject to:

    • Availability

    • Applicable cancellation or amendment charges

  • Any cost difference due to amendments must be borne by the guest.

4. Refund Policy

  • Refunds, if applicable, will be processed only to the original payment source through which the booking was made.

  • Refund processing may take up to 15 working days from the date of cancellation confirmation.

  • All refunds are processed only in Indian Rupees (INR).

  • No cash refunds will be provided.

5. Natural Calamities & Force Majeure

No refunds will be provided for tour interruptions or cancellations caused by:

  • Natural disasters

  • Landslides

  • Heavy snowfall

  • Floods

  • Strikes

  • Political unrest

  • Government restrictions

  • Train or flight delays

Any additional costs arising due to such circumstances must be paid directly by the guest.

6. Hotel & Transport Related Refunds

  • Hotel and transport bookings are subject to the individual service provider’s cancellation policies.

  • Vehicles are provided on a point-to-point basis only and not on disposal.

  • No refund will be provided for unused vehicle services.

7. Important Notes

  • Missed sightseeing will not be covered on subsequent days.

  • Guests are advised to ensure accurate travel dates and details at the time of booking.

  • Refund eligibility is strictly governed by this policy, regardless of booking channel.

8. Jurisdiction

All disputes arising out of cancellations or refunds shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Siliguri, West Bengal, India.

9. Acceptance of Policy

By confirming a booking with Tour Adviser, the guest acknowledges having read, understood, and agreed to this Cancellation & Refund Policy.
